Training & Support
We’ll set you up for success with new-hire training, delivered either through Zoom or recorded sessions. You’ll learn:
Best practices for representing our brands.
How to position products and talk about our mission.
Which hashtags and content strategies work best.
Tips for growing your own social media pages alongside your role with us.
And it doesn’t stop there — we provide ongoing training and support to help you keep improving, hit higher commission tiers, and grow with us long-term.
Evaluation Period
Every new hire starts with a 30-day evaluation period.
At the end of the month, we’ll review performance and fit to ensure you’re aligned with our team and mission.
Here’s how it works:
💵 Any commissions you earn during the evaluation period will still be paid out, even if you aren’t invited to continue.
🎁 If you’re invited to stay on, you’ll start earning merch rewards (like a free hat or t-shirt) to use in your promotions — once you’re showing consistent sales performance.
💻 You’ll receive a unique code that tracks your sales.
How Commissions Work
🔑 All sales are tracked using your unique discount code.
🚀 Start at 10% commission when you’re hired.
📈 Based on sales performance, your rate can increase to 15% and up to 20%.
💵 Commissions are based on the net profit of each item sold, not the retail price.
📊 Commissions are both calculated and paid the first week of each month.
📝 You’ll receive a detailed report showing all sales activity tied to your code.

Taxes & Compliance
All Sales Development Representatives are engaged as 1099 independent contractors through Gusto.
If you earn $600 or more in a calendar year, we’ll issue you a 1099-NEC form (standard IRS requirement).
As an independent contractor, you are responsible for reporting your own income and handling your own taxes.

Referral Rewards Program

FAQ
Is this a W-2 job?
No. This is an independent contractor role. You’ll receive commissions as a 1099 contractor.
Is this a Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) situation?
No. This is not an MLM, pyramid scheme, or recruiting chain. You’re paid direct commission on your own sales only. There are no buy-ins, no downlines, and no pressure to recruit others.
We do have a Referral Rewards Program, but it’s a simple one-time thank-you bonus when someone you refer completes 90 days. You’ll never earn off another person’s sales — just your own hustle.
Do I need sales experience?
Sales experience helps, but it isn’t required. What we care about most is your hustle, consistency, and alignment with our mission.
Do I need a large social media following?
Not at all. You’ll have access to our platforms and training. What matters is effort and creativity.
When will I get paid?
Commissions are both calculated and paid the first week of every month, with a detailed report showing all sales tied to your code.
What happens if I don’t pass the 30-day evaluation?
You’ll still get paid any commissions you earned during your evaluation period.
Do I have to buy merchandise upfront?
No. Once you receive your code, you can purchase merch at cost plus shipping if you’d like items to use in your promotions. Merch rewards (like a hat or t-shirt) begin once you’re showing consistent sales performance.
How soon can I start?
As soon as you complete training and receive your code — usually within a few days of being accepted.
Is there a minimum sales quota?
No. We don’t set quotas — but your performance during and after the 30-day evaluation will determine whether you continue with us and how quickly you can grow into higher commission tiers.
Do I need to work certain hours?
This role is flexible and self-directed. You decide when and where you put in the work — the more hustle you bring, the more you can earn.
Can I have another job while doing this?
Yes, since this is an independent contractor role. Just keep in mind you’ll need to put in consistent effort to see results and remain on the team.
How are commissions tracked?
Every hire gets a unique discount code. All sales through your code are logged automatically and included in your monthly report.
What products will I be selling?
You’ll be promoting merchandise from The FloBro Show, FLOrigins, and Big Florida Energy — including apparel, hats, flags, and energy drinks. We have hundreds of products to choose from, and you’ll have the freedom to promote in your own unique style. You can focus on specific products you connect with most — or simply promote the brands as a whole.
What’s the average commission on items?
Since your commission is based on net profit, not retail price, this means:
💵 At 10% you’d earn about $1–$1.50 per shirt.
💵 At 15% you’d earn about $1.50–$2.25 per shirt.
💵 At 20% you’d earn about $2–$3 per shirt.
On FLOrigins handmade wooden flags, you'll earn:
💵 At 10% you’d earn $15 per flag.
💵 At 15% you’d earn $22.50 per flag.
💵 At 20% you’d earn $30 per flag.
Do I have to handle shipping or customer service?
No. We handle all fulfillment and customer support. Your focus is on promotion, driving awareness, and generating sales.
Will I get sales tools or marketing materials?
Yes. You’ll receive digital resources (like product photos, logos, and approved copy) as well as ongoing tips to make your promotions easier and more effective. You’ll also get inside info and best practices to help you grow your own social media following while promoting our brands.
Do you have a referral program?
Yes! If you refer someone who completes 90 days, you’ll receive $25 cash or merch credit, a spot on our Referral Leaderboard, and free entry into one of our contests. Rewards only apply once your referral completes 90 days, and they’re a one-time thank-you bonus — not tied to your referral’s sales. We keep it simple: this is NOT an MLM or pyramid scheme.
