This piece pairs solid hickory with African red mahogany. Hickory is a dense, heavy domestic hardwood known for its toughness and durability, often considered one of the strongest hardwoods native to the United States. African red mahogany complements it with its rich tone, density, and refined grain, prized for both structural integrity and visual depth. Together, these woods create a substantial, balanced piece with a clean, timeless finish.

This flag is intended for indoor display only to preserve the natural wood tones and flawless surface. Due to its weight, the artist recommends using a heavy-duty drywall anchor or mounting directly into a wood stud.
